How the Deck is Structured

The Inner Mask Oracle Deck draws its structure from tarot. It contains a Major Arcana and Minor Arcana, and the Minor Arcana is divided into four suits which correspond with the four suits of the tarot. A few of the Major Arcana cards in this oracle deck are linked with certain ones in tarot, but the vast majority of the cards are original creations and unique to this deck, and the meanings in the Minor Arcana cards are not equivalent with those in tarot. One could see this as a hybrid tarot-oracle deck. However, strictly speaking, it falls into the oracle category.

The Minor Arcana is comprised of four suits: Masks, which represent disguise and the theatrical self, and are linked with coins; Mirrors, which represent surfaces and the social self, and are linked with swords; Shadows, which represent the subconscious and psychological self, and are linked with cups; and Avatars, which represent the symbolic and also the virtual self, and are linked with wands.
